1. Who we are

Living Resume is operated by Keith Wagner, trading as Living Resume. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: keith.wagner8@gmail.com.

2. What we collect and why

• Account data (first and last name, email address, login credentials) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Career content you provide (résumé files, job history, education, languages, written answers, quotes, photo, job descriptions you paste) — to build and run your page and its AI assistant. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
• Visitor interaction data (questions asked, answers given, visit counts, optional visitor name and company) — to show you page analytics and to meter session usage. Legal basis: performance of our contract and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.
• Technical and usage data (IP address, device and browser information, log and error data) — for security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails, only where you have opted in. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.

3. AI processing

Content you supply and visitor questions are sent to our AI model provider to generate answers. We do not authorise that provider to use your content to train public models.

4. Who we share data with

• Service providers and subprocessors: hosting, database and file storage, AI model provider, email delivery, and analytics tooling.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for sale of the product, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and refund handling.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities, where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

6. Retention

We keep account and career content while your account is active and for up to 30 days after deletion, so you can recover it. Analytics and interaction records are kept while your account is active or until you reset them. Records we must retain for tax or legal reasons are kept for the period the law requires. Data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. Email keith.wagner8@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level database security, and private file storage for uploaded résumés.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure; these cannot be switched off without breaking the service. We use limited analytics storage to count page visits and sessions. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, which may sign you out.

We will post any update to this notice on this page with a new date.
